On the 2nd leg of the North American double-header, F1 heads South to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Christine takes a look at the winding, sprawling track that represents the US Grand Prix. Featuring the only banked track in modern Formula 1, marvel at how the designers managed to make a meal of the layout by creating a “Mickey Mouse” infield section, used only to extend the length of the racing lap.

couple of things:
– we’ve been having all sorts of grief with video sharing sites today. YouTube appears to be entirely broken and DailyMotion managed to wreck the quality of our upload…no idea why?
– there’s no ING F1 Index in the preview this week, we’re still figuring out where it fits in the grand scheme of things. let us know if you miss it though.

Why don’t you say these things IN the blog post?

Christine,
Why did Madam Christine want to have the US GP at Long Beach?
Why couldn’t it be in Atlanta, a street circuit:)
brendan (in gloomy, stormy Atlanta)

ahhhh, that’s a bloomin’ good point.
to be honest i didn’t know F1 ever raced in Atlanta? whereas LA circuit is a bit of a classic.
street circuits are all the rage right now. let’s mention it to Bern (he’s listening you know).

See, Brendan, you’re assuming that I have a say in what those little taglines say.
Being a post production addition, they’re kept a secret until the very last minute!
