Cool show, that pole lap of Hamilton’s made me bang the sides of the chair and my MIL and my wife came running up the stairs to wonder what the racket was all about! Remember it was around 0850 hours in Atlanta.
Holly Samos is cute….you can keep Franck:)
It was lovely to hear you two wide eyed around the track, its like experiencing it myself for the first time all over again, nice job.

did you see Holly on tv?
not sure if you get Martin Brundle’s grid walk on your channel? Martin was trying to get an interview with some bloke called Beckham, but had to wait until Ms. Samos had finished with him before he could get a word in. as it was live TV the the girl ended up grabbing some TV limelight.
here’s the clip on YouTube, the interview happens at 5 mins 4 seconds.

Me, Senor: I saw Ms Samos on der sidepodcast, natch.
I’m not talking footie or “thick and thin” in this F1 anointed and sacred place, we’ll hear enuff about “thick” shortly as he’s playing out here now,
Brundle’s pit walk?
We don’t get a pit walk here at all, the race is shown five hours afterwards, and all I get live is live timing.
When I saw the race later, I realised that live timing is not so bad: you get a complete “view” of the race without the BS of the commentators or the adverts. Refreshing.
Anyway, thanks again for the cast, great job, really enjoyed it. Silverstone programmes, hah! !

Just a quick point I noticed during the SStone cast?! Chris referred to ‘fresh” lewis Hamilton fans. Were you referring to fans which have only just recently (past 3 months) become F1 fans with their “Red Vodafone Hats” (which I am a proud owner of) I understand your irritation with these fans (similar to Chelsea football fans over the past few seasons) but as a brit who has been watching F1 for as long as I can remember (around 1990 I guess) I have been waiting for this ever since Damon finished, and finally I have a new Brit to support! I say get behind him! Maybe Chris as you havent been following F1 for a long time you dont really undestand what it means to finally have a brit at the top of the pile! Support him! I hope I will not be deemed a “fresh” Hammy fan!!

Make the most of it before it is too late is what I am trying to say… we may to have a driver like him for a very long time!

I may not have been following F1 for a long time but I am still British and I know how exciting it is to finally get some success.
I don’t like the people that just like F1 now because of him. If you’ve been a fan for a while and switch allegiance or whatever, that’s cool. (Like me, Jenson and Franck!)
It’s the fact that Radio 1 are now all over the subject even though they never mentioned F1 before. That’s what gets me.
You wear your red hat with pride, my friend. And I’m pretty sure Lewis will be around for many more years to come.

Sorry it’s taken so long to listen to your show the reason being is a long boring story which i wont bother you with.
First of all thanks for mentioning my blog site - and thanks for this podcast/Internet radio show thingy?…i listened to the whole show and thought it was very entertaining. You both work well as a team and to my delight i discovered that i could “tab” the page and continue listening whilst working on my blog and browsing the net (ITV F1) for info on what i might write about…ahem…combined my own opinion as well of course.
This broadcast - if i can call it that - is an ideal way to find out all about the race without watching the TV video recording to fathom out what actually happened - [i watch the race again on video anyway] - when at the same time getting on with some chore’s around the house. So, as well as showing your TV program on my site, i will badge these shows up as a link when i write my race reports…..keep up the good work, Shaun.
