Kimi’s the Iceman by the way, no need to worry about him (though the reason he may have melted could have been because of the stonkingly fast lap he put in?). Half a second quicker than Massa’s, and his 5th this year. Flying Finn indeed!

one thing we didn’t mention – massa had a new chassis for this race. i wonder it that helped him at all and will kimi get a new one for monza?
the FIA should award points for fastest laps and for leading the race. that way both kimi and kovi would have been duly rewarded for their efforts

Jean Todt has said in a Q & A on autosport.com that they have Monza ‘moulded’ cars, so yeah Kimi will have a new chassis but it’ll be the same as Massa’s anyway.
Massa’s new chassis at Turkey wasn’t of anything significant though, he was just due a new one as his last was pretty much worn out. Kimi had a new chassis at Monaco after his crash obviously, but I don’t think they make a lot of difference.
I’ve always thought that points should be awarded for pole position or race fastest laps too! That would be great, because even at dull races like at Turkey, Kimi’s fastest lap made me smile and it was the very thing that made me love an F1 driver, particularly Kimi, especially when he say’s he’s bored after! lol
Massa just had a better Q3 and that’s what won him the race. It’s easy to win from pole, but harder to chase a victory, unfortunatly nowadays!
