It’s no secret that we are a big fan of stats, therefore on this, the last day of the year we present - Sidepodcast’s year in numbers:

A massive “THANK YOU” to everyone who contributed in 2007, let’s see if we can beat these figures in 2008.

The number of iTunes downloads that you have had?
The total size in both MB and minutes of all your downloads?
The number of times you have both made me smile when listening/watching your podcasts?

Thanks for a great year of F1 coverage, your far more interesting to watch and listen to then those so called experts on ITV.

we didn’t list it because we don’t know. at the moment we use libsyn for podcast hosting. even they admin their stats are a woefully inadequate. apparently it’s something they intend to fix so in the future we’ll have a better idea.

suffice to say, it was several hundred thousand last year.

The total size in both MB and minutes of all your downloads?

don’t have that figure to hand, but we probably could work it out. we’ll get back to you!

  It seems only moments since Canada was left off the 2009 calendar, and now France, who had a slot on the season guide for next year, look like they’re pulling out. The FFSA, who organise the sport, have several options as to where the Grand Prix should be held next year, but with the current financial meltdown, the 10% increase in fees, and the fact that the event would most likely make a loss, they just don’t want to do it.
