Bahrain: Free Practice 3

As Saturday dawns, there’s not a whole heap of change to note on the racing front. Teams have now had to make their gearbox ratio selections (a difficult process after yesterdays changeable conditions) and the McLaren mechanics have no doubt had a busy evening with Hamilton’s car.

The race weekend official starts here, it’s a one hour session, but teams will now be extra careful with their engines from here onwards, although a couple of drivers can ill afford to relax during this session. Vettel struggled considerably in yesterdays second session, as did both Toyota’s and Nick Heidfeld so they may be looking to make up lost ground.

There’s no live video from ITV for this session so we’re back to looking elsewhere. We’ll give TVlizer a test and see what that has to offer, while BBC Radio 5Live have audio commentary on their Extra station. Finally there’s the ubiquitous live timing from f1.com.

Scream, shout and yell if you’re dedicating your Saturday morning to following the cars running in the desert.

i think it depends on what the installation lap told them. if they plugged all the right bits in all the right places, they should by okay. they must be exhausted though.

yeah, a uk proxy list can be found here:

    uk proxy list

if you pick one of those ip addresses and put it into your browser connection details, it should connect you via a uk server and trick r5live into thinking you’re in the uk.

if you’re not technically minded, it might not be the best time to try though :)

Haven’t got a direct link, but you should be able to go to Google and search for ‘UK Proxy’ and (hopefully!) get a list of UK proxies you can then access the BBC Five Live Extra site.

The chance to bring all those lovely pictures and activities again, in open court. That would bring so much joy to his enemies and extra circulation to the NOW, they would take glee in him trying it.

Crap, I got in late (3:00 AM PDT) and missed practice. It’s been a long and bad night, hopefully Roseberg and the BMW boys will brighten me up a bit.

Just a random thought… I wonder if the intro to the stock F1 preview show before the race tomorrow will go something like this.

“In this episode of Inside F1, we will talk to Timo Glock about his rookie season; preview and take an indepth look at the Bahrain circuit; look at the role of brakes on a Formula One car; plus Formula One Supremo Max Mosley will take us on an exclusive tour of his private S&M dungeon and fuzzy handcuff collection… All this and more right now on Inside F1!”

I bet they don’t mention it on the PR drivel show but it will be the first thing out of most of the commentator’ mouths no matter what the language and station. Be ready for at least one or two self-righteous rants from commentators over the course of the weekend. Well, at least it will take them off kissing Hamilton’s posterior for at least thirty seconds.

In that regard, how many crumpled-up pieces of notepad has Brundle gone through thinking a cheeky ways to take a dig at Max during the race? He along with Ron Dennis and half of Formula One must of lite a nice fat cigar when the news broke about Max and are chomping at the bits to finish him off.
