Hi there;- Just a quick comment firstly “Good Job”, informative; entertaining & relevant. I never miss an episode of F1 Min or Sidpodcast, and I especially like the mini-series; however, isn’t there always “A But” to-day’s “PREVIEW” wasn’t at least half of it was a “REVIEW” of last year’s race. Now I know a bit of context always helps but a little should be your watch word.
Nonetheless keep it up.

It’s interesting, because personally I find that listening to the clips from last year really does prepare me for the race more.
I have the world’s worst memory and I find that being reminded of what happened in Turkey before is a preview of this year.
However, you’re not the first to comment on this, and all feedback is taken on board. I will just have to concede that everyone else can remember last year’s race, and it’s just me that can’t

i can’t either

Just a quick update, as expected Heikki has been cleared to drive in Turkey.

That makes me happy. It will make one of my friends (a fellow commuter originally from Finland who thought her country didn’t get mentioned enough in the British press, and whom I’m trying to convert to an F1 fan) even happier…
PS: I’ve just noticed that I’m now 4th in the listings for commenters. With Friday practise sessions coming up, I feel confident that my weekend strategy will allow me to challenge for the Sidepodcast Turkish Grand Prix podium .

Hi Christine;-
Thanks for the prompt reply; would that my workmates were as good; but don’t get me wrong I too find a quick memory jog a good thing, it’s the relative proportions I was questioning.
Good news about Heikki.
I also wonder if there are a couple of drivers looking nervously over their shoulders now that there are a couple of free agents about since the demise of Super Aguri.

Heh, and I thought the European season would give me a break from having to get up early

technically I wasn’t going on technicalities
Canada will be a nice change, a weekend where we don’t have to get up that early to watch practice. Now, we can enjoy FP1 whilst having lunch! (so to speak :P)

The circuit’s in Asia, but the city it’s named for is in Europe. Go figure.
Tomorrow, I’ll be watching the first practice in my slippers, clutching a bowl of cereal while posting. Hopefully nothing will be spilt on the keyboard…

oh dear….just been on JB’s website, I went to enter the competition and they have got one of the mulitple choice questions wrong.
It was 3 wasn’t it? According to f1.com Honda only have 3 pionts…Whats the piont in entering a competition where you can’t give the right answer.

Christine,
An excellent accoutrement for a human being, less so for a Vulcan, like myself.

Glad Heikki has been cleared to take part in the practise session for Turkey, I on the other hand haven’t, also going to miss the whole of Saturday so I am hoping the F1Minute and SidePodCast will be able to keep me up to date with any major events over the next two days via Twitter.
I should be back for the race on Sunday though, so again sorry for missing out.
Also sorry Christine for not yet watch this preview yet, I haven’t be in long and have to be up in less than 5.5 hours so will have to play catch up tomorrow (Fri) night, but I’m sure that this preview is as good as all the rest are.
Catch you al online for the race on Sunday and have fun in the Live comments.
All the best with ‘mt’

Careful Lou, now that Christine’s back thinking it is safe to be surfing the internet again, we do not want her to have relapses of recently suppressed memories of “German Examinations” We do not want to put Christine into a deep trance, as me had to return that book back to the library. I guess we were a little bit too though, as see is now having differcultly remembering last year’s events.
And me if we do have to put her back into a trance, get Christine to pick Ant Davidson and Sato for her team. Both drivers of Super Aguri can still be purchased at 5 million each. at Fantasy Racers.

Good luck to you in your exam. That’s an awful long time to be assessed for - I’ve got Spanish listening, reading and writing a week on Monday, and despite getting extra time, I’m still only due to be there for four hours. Don’t worry too much about your standings - I will not be commenting on Saturday or Sunday because my computer is in the opposite corner of the house to the TV and I can’t fit my family around my computer.
Hope the German oral went well. Having done a Spanish oral last week, I can certainly sympathise!
The 257 decal on Rubens Barrichello’s car looks good. Much better than the Honda trousers, that’s for sure
The Hamilton PR stunt looks quite strange. How exactly does a fireproof suit fit into the story of the Trojan Horse? Maybe if the theatre company was trying for some revisionist history and someone had actually set fire to the horse, there might have been some point to it…
As for the competition on JB’s website, that is quite silly. Button has indeed scored 3 points in Spain for 6th place - what were the website admins thinking?!?

Jordan,
Tsk, tsk, tsk…No wonder they all blame Canada!
Vulcan: as in Spock, with the funny ears, snappy vinyl suit, all that……

Now that you mentioned it, the residents of Vulcan, Alberta do look like Leonard Nimoy or Kristie Alley, for some strange reason…
