Live Commenting: Canada - Free Practice 1
For the second time this year, all our focus is directed at the meteorology sites, because the big story in Canada, just like in Monaco, is rain.
Will it, won’t it and if it does for how long and when? They’re pretty much all the key questions this early on in the Grand Prix weekend. F1Wolf is on the ground at the Montreal track and he commented earlier that the rain stopped 90 minutes before the start of today’s first session and sunshine is expected for the rest of the day.
You can keep an eye on the AccuWeather radar for more rainfall predictions during the weekend.
As for the racing, it’ll be nice for the focus to finally return to the track. It’s too close to call between the top teams going into today’s running, while further back the tight midfield pack shows no signs of a clear leader. In changeable conditions last time out, we witnessed a number of the smaller teams punching above their weight, so they’ll likely be relishing this coming weekend too.
The first of two 90 minute sessions begins at 10am local time (3pm BST), and we’ll be watching ITV’s live stream and following Bernie’s fruit machine. Well I say we, but I really mean I, as Christine’s running around like a blow-fly at the moment. If you’re around, please shout and help me stifle the loneliness.
A track guide is available from Allianz should you need a reminder about corners / gears etc. You can find this and other useful resources in our Drop.io box, feel free to add your own.

The most likely thing according to the weather forecasts I’ve seen is that it will be dry on Sunday. However, I too would have thought it wise to do some wet running, considering that this is Friday and gearbox and engine can be changed.
Nakajima’s got his work cut out if he wants to make headway. He can’t afford to be 2.5 seconds down on a Force India come the race. Though he is a rookie and he learned Monaco quick, so he’ll probably make the grade here too - it’ll just take a while.

Sounds the most likely reason for him not finishing the run.
Jarno’s car steps out on him… …and then the team advise him to stay out to evaluate when the track is ready for dries! Surely they need to be thinking about more basic matters of set-up before then…

Only if I try to upload or access sth I’ve uploaded. I’ll try again later perhaps I just have to change sth at the setup of my browser.
Do you want a video of the graphic or is that enough?

Now my browser doesn’t crash anymore, but I can’t upload either. I tried to upload the same picture just cropped so that my taskbar isn’t showing.

I think that was the latest one then, May’s one. Lol can u remind us or somthing when its on because its monthly I will probably forget.

I just clicked on that link and i got the message
’sorry rights restrictions prevent us from displaying this video content to users outside the UK’
But im in the UK??? {lou - 21 posts ago}
That’s the same message I used to get when I tried using the ITV player for F1. Brightcove identified that my IP address wasn’t on their server - which would be no surprise at all in the case of a Netherlands server!
I’m mystified, though, as to why it works anywhere if my theory is correct…
