Heading into what is undoubtedly going to be a wet race, Free Practice matters more than ever. That’s why some drivers are annoyed at their lack of running, and others are happy with their strong performance.
Free Practice 1
Renault engines continued to suffer, whilst the drivers got to grips with the Silverstone tarmac. Massa had a very specific grip problem that led to a major accident.
Free Practice 2
Two Toyotas struggle, whilst Massa managed to get some more running in - just.
Conclusions
By the end of the day, the final timesheets were a bit mixed up, meaning some drivers were unusually happy, and others who would normally be beaming, had some thinking to do.

Thanks both.
Apologies for the quietness on my part. I brought some beautiful Silverstone germs home with me, and so catching up is taking me longer than anticipated.
