F1 Digest - Britain Free Practice

Sidepodcast F1 Digest logo

Heading into what is undoubtedly going to be a wet race, Free Practice matters more than ever. That’s why some drivers are annoyed at their lack of running, and others are happy with their strong performance.

Free Practice 1

Renault engines continued to suffer, whilst the drivers got to grips with the Silverstone tarmac. Massa had a very specific grip problem that led to a major accident.

Free Practice 2

Conclusions

By the end of the day, the final timesheets were a bit mixed up, meaning some drivers were unusually happy, and others who would normally be beaming, had some thinking to do.
