Welcome to F1 People - Series 2. This is the omnibus edition of the series, which was seven short shows originally released over seven consecutive days. Now they are all gathered up in one place for easy listening.
Here are the links to the individual show notes:
This is the first omnibus edition we’ve tried, the idea came from a suggestion on Facebook by Dave Monks. I’d love to have your feedback - is it useful to have the information presented this way, or is it just clogging up your feeds with the same shows twice? Also if you missed a mini series, do you think this would be a good way to catch up or are the seven separate shows easier?

lemmie get this straight, in the middle of one mini-series, you’re updating another?
am confused.

Yea, sorry.
Usually the omnibus would come directly after the miniseries, but I wanted to test it out while I had 5 minutes.
Normality will resume shortly, promise.

Please define “Normality”. There is way too much “abnormality” on this web site for anything to be common, and since we seem to only see a shadow and a vocie of “me”, one could also argue that there is a little “paranormality” going here too……

I don’t think it should be directly after a series because you’ve just listened to the seven before hand. But its intresting when to have it.

i think it’s good for people who have missed some of the mini-series, like i did because i was on holiday.

Well I think it is a great idea. I’m just going to download this one (not via torrent, sorry) and listen to it in one go.
I think that it is important to let people know at the start of a miniseries if it will be collected together at the end - so we know if we can wait for the omnibus or if we need to get them as they come.
Thanks for doing this.

cheers dave. thus far nobody appears to be against the idea, and it’s not a huge amount of extra work for christine, so there’s no reason not to do it for every series.
but as r.g. pointed out, maybe it shouldn’t be directly after the individual shows have aired.
do you have any preferences?

I think that with such “time-less journalism”, you can present the series as an omnibus whenever you feel.
You could always collate and publish the collection but not ‘advertise’ it until the timing is right ie. not in the middle of another series.

good timing, we were just discussing this between ourselves. i think the conclusion was “at a quiet point, when nothing much else is going on”.
fair enough, although that requires a modicum of self control, of which i possess none
wordpress has a scheduling feature, and the first time we used it was just prior to the british gp, and that was really to make sure we had a backup if comms failed in the field.
18 months into a podcast and we finally figure a use for the “not now” button.
oops, yeah that confused the heck out of everything didn’t it? sorry.
