At the moment, we have no firm plans for the future of Sidepodpanel. It will return but can’t promise when and where.
We’ve really got some end of season things to be doing beforehand. That’s the best I can do at the moment, sorry.
November 25th, 2008 at 22:18 #9 - Steven Roy said:
Only because you didn’t have to do it.
I wasn’t bothered about being embarrassed I just couldn’t think of what to say or do.

I knew there was a lot of editing to be done but it looks like an hour and a half has been edited out. That is a lot of work.

I still can’t see the panel show in iTunes
November 25th, 2008 at 23:28 #21 - me said:
ok, you’re going to have to give me more info. because it really is there.
am guessing you’re refreshing your feeds, but it still says “episode 84″?
November 25th, 2008 at 23:38 #22 - Andy Taylor said:
That’s correct – Episode 84 is the most recent one for me.
Ok, sorry – I hit “refresh” on the library podcasts page and it has started downloading. I was going to the iTunes store and looking for it there/refreshing/restarting iTunes.
November 25th, 2008 at 23:42 #23 - me said:
ahh, right. yeah, i think the itunes store updates every 12 hours or something? we can “ping” it to make it update faster, but as it’s a manual thing we never bother.
November 25th, 2008 at 23:49 #24 - Andy Taylor said:
I didn’t know that (and I should considering where I work).

can i just say, dan you did a brilliant job hosting that show and i hope you’ll sign up again for series 2

Its’ a deal. I actually sounded better than I thought. I was afraid with the quality of Skype, that it would sound a lot worse. The old film adage holds true, behind every brilliant director is an equally brilliant editor.
Also, I can’t do next weeks’ show because of the Thanksgiving Holiday over here. However to be fair to Steve Roy, I will answer his “killer question” somehow since I really did do a number on that panel with that last one.

Thanks again guys for another brilliant and fun episode… I look forward to hearing it on the train home tonight

What a great episode! I’ll have to do it again sometime (Maybe this week, depends on time). Sorry if I sounded like a gibbering wreck at the start, but I was very nervous.
Agreed. You couldn’t tell any of Lou’s problems at all.

Quite a few people have been really nervous to start with but as far as I know everyone who has ever been on any show has enjoyed it once their nerves have settled.

I am still desperately trying to catch up with two weeks worth of lovely lovely comments and I still haven’t yet worked out what I Spy is all about yet or what the doohicky is. All very exciting as I move forward in time (at a slow pace silly work getting in the way).
But what does seem to have happened is that the Sidepodpanel seems to be coming to an end which seems quite sad. And even more doubly sad is that the last episode is this Sunday because… I can’t make it as I’m off to see Ben Folds in London’s glittering Shepherds Bush (is glittering right here – Ed).
So sounds like I’m out of it unless the show can be tempted back for a second series!
November 26th, 2008 at 19:11 #41 - Christine said:
It is absolutely coming back for a second series, although we can’t promise when just yet.
We couldn’t kill off the panel, not when it’s so funny!

you’re going to read every single comment?
November 26th, 2008 at 19:18 #43 - Steven Roy said:
This is the doohickey http://www.sidepodcast.com/realtime/
For reasons I can’t remember we are playing I spy from the perspective of a member of the space station crew.
November 26th, 2008 at 19:22 #44 - Alex Andronov said:
I was considering it. I’ve read every single comment (pretty much*) since about mid season.
But it has been taking a moment or two and well I’m quite behind. So I might have to give in. But sidepodcast is such a great community that you really can’t tell what’s going on from just the posts alone I don’t think.
*I can’t guarantee this obviously because I can’t tell when somebody goes and writes a comment on an old thread.
November 26th, 2008 at 19:23 #45 - Alex Andronov said:
Am I being a thicko or can you not comment on the doohicky?
November 26th, 2008 at 19:24 #46 - Alex Andronov said:
I am being a thicko… I see it now!
November 26th, 2008 at 19:25 #47 - Alex Andronov said:
You know what would be cool for the doohicky (sorry if somebody has said this before) keyboard shortcuts….
I’d like to be able to select up and down by pressing keys. Then a key for reply etc…
November 26th, 2008 at 19:26 #48 - me said:
hence the doohickey.
