Podcast Archives

If you want to catch up on any shows you have missed, you’ll find them here. There are a few different types of show that you might want to try:

F1 Debrief Archive

A weekly podcast from the Sidepodcast team, where we chatter about the latest goings on in the world of Formula 1. After race weekends, we have take a look back at the action, with our own take on who did well and who failed to shine. When there are no races to keep us entertained, we examine the latest news and provide coverage of motorsport events around Europe.

F1 Digest Archive

Things can get hectic during race weekends, and if you don’t have time to catch all the sessions, or you need a quick catchup, F1 Digest is here for you. Four shows over four days, featuring a preview, free practice, qualifying, and the race itself, run through all the action and the teams reaction to events.

An Aside with Joe Archive

We are honoured to talk to Joe Saward from GrandPrix.com ahead of each race weekend. Giving us a brief glimpse of life in the paddock and on the road, Joe also shares his insight to some of the latest news stories and dismisses the nonsense.

Parade Lap Archive

There’s never a better time to chill out than right before a race. The anticipation is all there, but there’s always time for an hour of good music, sensible chat, and maybe a prediction or two. Designed to be broadcast live, usually an hour before the race coverage starts in the UK, this show is then released as a podcast afterwards.

Mini Series Archive

Seven short shows make up each individual series, spanning a range of topics, such as a Beginner’s Guide to Formula 1, History of the sport, and biographies of some of the top names you will have heard of.

Sidepodpanel Archive

At the tail end of 2008, with a fantastic season drawing to a close, we thought it was time the people had their say. This is our attempt at a panel show, although as ever, chaos reigns. Two teams battle it out to win favour in Christine’s eyes, as she controls the pinger and the points. A different guest host takes the reigns each week, and tries to control the madness, with varying degrees of success.

Video Podcast Archive

The video podcast series features race previews that include a one lap commentary, plus championship updates, and views from paddock insiders. Other videos cover F1 events that we attend, and those that we can’t be at in person, but can cover from afar.

Interview Archive

Although we assume that you want to hear from us all the time, else you wouldn’t have subscribed to our show, we also know that there are lots of other wonderful F1 fans out there. Here are our interviews with the lovely people we have caught up with so far.

Sidepodchat Archive

Take a handful of callers, sprinkling in some general topics, and allow the chatting to commence. The idea of this show sprung from the constraints of having one caller on at a time during the Debrief. This way, we get the best of several minds, and plenty of amusing jokes and serious debates take place.

I regularly searched through iTunes in hopes of an informative F1 Podcast that presents a high quality production newscast that is as informative as the four amigos of Speed Channel (Varsha, Hobb & Matchett + Windsor). Alas, I was regularly disappointed. But, I am enthusiastic to report that I discovered it in your podcasts and videocasts. Looking forward to Christine’s commentary over the rest of the season.

I love all you do. Thank you for keeping us up to-date here in the states where F1 news is harder to come by.

Be nice if you could get ride of your McLaren/ Hamilton bias though.

That’s interesting because for a good portion of this year we were told off for being anti-Hamilton.

I can honestly tell you we are not biased towards McLaren or Hamilton.
