let me first say that I crave everything about Sidepodcast. It is probably the best thing that happened to F1 Fanatics in the states. I have only subscribed for about 4 or 5 months, but it is excellent.
I also enjoyed your F1 people commentaries, though I don’t really understand how Jean Alesi and especially Eddie Irvine got to be there before the likes of Sterling Moss and Jim Clark. Just curious, It is your show and you get to pick.
Doesn’t diminish my enjoyment of Sidepodcast.

I like the idea of a profile on the prof. You almost have to do Peter Collins and Mike Hawthorn as a pair as they were joined at the hip most of the time. There is even a joint biography called Mon Ami Mate.
Eliseo Salazar. You are having a laugh. Apart from being from Chile and being punched by Piquet at Hockenheim no-one knows anything else about him.

yeah ya do. he claims he was picked up by nelson whilst hitch-hiking home from a race in the rain.
his story mind you. not sure if piquet ever confirmed it, or even remembers it.

@Steven:
Peter Collins for giving up his working perfectly car to teammate Fangio (who’s car had broken down) although that meant shoting down his chance of a Driver’s Championship.
Hawthron would have stopped beside Fangio, drop the handbrake, and stomped on the gas so that the most amount of gravel would have been kicked up in Fangio’s face, and then released the hand brake… For his 1st ever driver’s championship, provided of course he also beat Collins…
Eliseo Salazar. Is the ultimate of what an F1 driver should inspire to. I call it “Crash or be lapped”. 1st bet on anyone else but the favourites to win, when you see said favourite about to lap you, conducted brake test and thereby knocking yourself and the leader out of the race. Finally, collect money on person you have bet on as you have knock favourite out of the race.
If he only learnt some basic self-defense skills it would have been the perfect crime!

Wonderful! Just started to learn about F1 and this is a great place to learn about all the dimensions of F1 including racers, courses, cars and history!
Question:
During the People mini-series, there is an accompanying song. Can you share what song that is?

Or you could try answering the right question. The F1 People mini series uses Natives of the New Dawn.

well… if someone wouldn’t release one mini-series in the midst of another mini-series, i’d know where we are.
or i could just read the question properly.
